As many of you know who follow me on Facebook I am a HUGE animal lover. My dogs are not just pets- they are family so I was super excited when I was referred to Wag More Bark Less to do a review. I was sold on their products within two seconds of looking at their site! They share in the same philosophy that I do- "Not just a pet- a lifestyle... it's a dog's world". YES! As many of you know I am also very pro-environment. I believe that it's the small things that makes big changes in this world and here is another company that I feel good about backing because they care about the environment too! In fact their dog toys are eco-friendly-They use recycled bottles for their collars and leads as well as sustain-ably-harvested natural rubber for their toys, and cotton canvas for their dog beds and plushes. If that doesn't make it an easy sell for you perhaps this will... portions of all profits are donated to animal charities in the areas that they do business! WMBL is not just making happy dogs but they are making sure they are keeping the rest of us who have to share this planet happy too!
Wag More Bark Less sent me a few toys and a collar to try out on my three very different dogs. I knew Charlie, our American Bulldog, would love all the toys since he is so playful and always carries around something in his mouth but the other two I knew would be a tougher sell. The old man of the group, Fred, is our Husky mix and instead of playing with the other two he acts more like the grumpy old man telling the neighbor kids to stay off his yard. He'd rather watch and bark than actually play I would say he is more tolerable than playful. Chloe is our middle child and the only girl and she's more into taking the toys from her brother rather than playing- she's quite the instigator. When the box arrived from Wag More Bark Less the dogs were already super excited. It's strange how dogs can smell when something is for them. I barely got to really look at the toys before Charlie had them out throwing them in in the air.
The Bon Bon
The Bon Bon was the first toy that was taken immediately out of my hands by Charlie. This toy is unbelievably cool! It's made of thick rubber so when it's thrown or even dropped it bounces and rolls which leaves the dogs chasing after it all over. You can add treats to either side to make it even more fun for the dogs. The funny thing about the Bon Bon is that our dogs didn't realize it squeaked until the next day so they would jump back and attack it to make it squeak! All three dogs were pretty fascinated by this toy even Fred. Fred became very territorial over this toy and would hide it from the other dogs. This toy was definitely rated 6 paws by all three of my dogs and two thumbs up by me! This toy will last a lifetime unlike other throw away toys that I purchase in the same price range. This toy is a necessity in your home if you have a playful bunch or if you want to get the playfulness out of your dog!
The Slobberdome is seriously a ball of nothing but fun despite it's name. This toy is fun with a treat stuffed inside or without! Because of it's caged design it makes it easy for the dogs to grasp on to it and throw it in the air. When it drops it bounces and rolls all over which adds to the fun. This toy is Chloe's favorite despite Charlie trying to take it and hide it in his cage- Chloe finds and keeps it close. The three (yes all three of them) will play for hours with this toy! These toys are so much fun that my husband and I need to put them away at night so the dogs will calm down! I think hands down this is the one that all three dogs have the most fun playing with together. They bounce it back and forth to one another and the best thing with it's bright orange color I never can't find it especially if they are playiing with it outside.
Wag More Bark Less also sent me a collar to review. I am pretty impressed by the thickness of this collar- you can tell this will last a long time. I was a little questionable when I read that it was made from old bottles etc. I thought it would be scratchy and just not very comfortable. That is not the case at all. The best part about the collar is the thickness of the ring as well as the quality of the latch of the collar. We put it on Chloe because she is the hardest to keep under control while on a leash or out on her lead. She tends to want to chase after everything and normally the ring that the leash or lead clips on to breaks or rips out of the collar. I do not foresee this one doing that at all! Not to mention how sporty it looks on her!
The products above and several more can be purchased from their on-line store. Prices start at $10 for toys and the collars start around $19 (The Bon Bon & Slobberdome were both $16.00 and the collar I reviewed were $19).
