My oldest daughter is in the first grade and is all about writing letters to her friends, writing stories, and recently writing in her journal. She always seems to have a hard time getting started even when I tell her just to write from the heart and it will lead in the right direction so when I saw Journal's Unlimited during my internet search I knew this is what I needed even though at the time I didn't know what I needed! When I contacted the company to do a review they were so wonderful to work with which is such a huge A+ in my book. Honestly, I mourn the loss of some of my favorite products because of poor customer service which has prevented me from spending my money on their products. The only problem I had was to figure out was which journal would be the best for my daughter as there are so many great options! As you can see I finally Chose the Good Times! LOL My Fun Journal~ because nothing screams fun like the daily activities of a 7 year old!
It was hard keeping the secret from my daughter that the journal was coming but when it came the look on her face was worth the torture of not spilling the beans every time she said she wanted a new journal. My daughter was on cloud nine and immediately began flipping through the pages and I could tell that she wasn't happy that all the pages were the same. Which made me upset because how could she not love this awesome journal?! She finally said she loved the journal but sometimes she likes to write more on days where she had a bad day and this is all about good days~ a writer in the making! I explained to her that this journal reminds you that even on bad days there is at least one thing that made you smile and laugh! Needless to say she has not had any issues finding something to write in every day! I took a pictures of one of her entries to post on here but she was very adamant that I do not do it~ so I will respect her privacy although it was really cute to read what is humorous to a seven year old. She did give me permission to talk about what was in her journal without being too specific. In her journal she has wrote about her teacher and how she giggles when he calls her Hannah Banana or sometimes he'll start dancing for no reason or start rapping the multiplication table. It is so great to see an in-sight in to her world through her eyes and know that she is having a good time! Without this ever being my intention when I requested to do this review but it has become such a resource in getting to know my daughter on a more personal level through her thoughts.
As a mom and a consumer I can appreciate quality products such as these journals. I can also appreciate that they are made right here in the U.S.A and are made of recyclable papers. The ink is even eco-friendly and is made with a soy base to help keep our earth clean of toxins! There honestly isn't anything negative that I can say about these journals!
